Our team has over 3 decades of combined experience in IT security, datacenter automation, process automation, compliance, and administration. We have lived and breathed countless days/weeks of grinding away on build, deploy, and maintainenance automations throughout our careers, and this experience is embodied in BE Software's solutions. We realize not every organization can facilitate the staff and hours it takes to have enterprise level capabilities, which is why we are bringing automation to you. Mobility & Time

We understand the importance of time outside of work, which is a big part of why BE Software was created. We all have family, lives, and hobbies, but given the fundamental problem with IT, it never sleeps, its hard to find a balance. BE Software's solutions and the automation they provides is an attempt to fix that issue, and we feel very strongly about it. The capability of our automation also goes much farther when combined with mobility, and being able to manage things without being pulled away from life is key.

We take great pride in the quality of our work, as we should, and if we are not we want to know about it. To make this happen, we are not just expecting our skills to carry us through, but also need YOU... your feedback and suggestions go much farther than you can imagine. Giving Back

Aside from the BE Software ®technology/services, we let our passions and motivators guide us - we demand more of ourselves. Our culture centers around giving back, whether it be to charities, the environment, or bees... Yes, bees... a portion of all income, profit or not, goes to raising/protecting bees. We also believe in giving back by volunteering our time as much as time allows. We only get one chance at life so why not try to get it right.

Stephan Looney

CEO/Co-Founder

In 2015 Stephan saw several small businesses struggling to keep up with larger competitors. With a natural inclination to solve problems and over a decade of experience securing and automating large businesses,financial institutions, and federal government, an idea was born.

When Stephan isn't working he can be found out on the water with his wife and son or running on a trail in the swamps of the Low Country.

Chris Lee

CTO/Co-Founder

My biggest passion with technology is automation, regardless of the tool or task. I am drawn to the challenges of tying multiple systems together into a larger and more robust system, and just plain automating something new. Also, I subscribe to the notion 'anything can be automated and possess a sort of intelligence', and I am driven to always finding a way to get it done... al be it not always the most elegant solution (beauty is within).

Motivation: The phrase "IT never sleeps" often pops up in conversation and I have lived it as have many others. I have a 'big' family, four beautiful kids and an amazing wife, and I value my time with them... IT and family/personal time don't always play nicely together, and I get that. So, BeSoftware is my opportunity to give back and provide automation as a service to those who either dont have the time or capacity to do it themselves. Everyone needs some automation and time in their life.

Stephan and I have known each other for several years now, but its felt more like decades. We share the same thoughts on and passion for automation, so it made perfect sense to team up.

When I'm not working you can find me outdoors... I love nature(including bees), camping, and getting wild at an occassional Tough Mudder. I also have some old farm land to raise bees and let nature take back the land.

Tyler Jones

Director of Engineering

Tyler started his career as a 13B (Cannon Crewmember) in the U.S.Army and served in OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom). After his son was born he decided to pursue a different career in Information Technology that would allow him to be with family more. Over the years he found out his true passion was technology. In 2012 Tyler started his career working as a engineer at Google’s Datacenter for two years. Tyler and Stephan crossed paths in 2015 and showed him the automation side of technology. Tyler also contributed code to the open source community on GitHub and loves to develop and contribute software. The idea of automating security with IT systems is a exciting opportunity. Tyler is happy to be apart of BeSoftware.

When Tyler is not working he is playing on his guitar or spending time with his family.

Brenton Bersin

CFO

Graduated from Wofford College in 2012 with a BA in both finance and accounting. Currently working on my MBA from Kelley School of Business (University of Indiana). Upon graduation in 2012, I went on to pursue my dream of playing in the National Football League. I have played for the Carolina Panthers since, learning many useful qualities along the way; hard work, perseverance, commitment, leadership.

If you don’t find me on the football field, you might find me on the driving range. Golf is my favorite hobby, as well as reading and hanging out with my fiancé!
